Never-ending-holiday Syndrome

579 views. 2020-2-2 16:02 |Individual Classification:Daily Life

In today’s EMF, Michael tells us how to deal with post-holiday syndrome. However for many Chinese, right now we are suffering from this seems-lasting-forever -holiday anxiety. No, we don’t have any problems easing ourselves back into a normal routine, instead, the million dollar question is: How to get our normal life back? Or when could we go back to our old routines?

I haven’t stepped out of my door for three days and my hands crumple so much (due to being constantly disinfected) that I couldn’t use fingerprint verification to open my phone. Still I am the least affected one in my family. It’s my husband I am really worried about. Sometimes, I feel like the anxieties are going to devour him, day into night, night into day.

Ironically, people who suffer from anxiety disorder seem to have troubles staying away from the things that make them worried. Instead, they get addicted to those negative thoughts and scary messages. They have different way to process information where the negative being amplified and the positive being often ignored.

My husband spend most of his time with his cellphone, being bombarded with all kinds of information about the virus and what catch his attention the most are often the worst ones.

Now the virus is sweeping across the whole country and we are forced to come out of our comfort zone because the place we live in might not be safe and sound any more. But if we gave our lives to fears, worries and angers, then why are we here at all?

I know it’s cliché but try to see the world positively because it will make you feel better, and if you feel better, you are boosting your immune system and you are gaining more chips in this battle.
