It was cold and dark outside and the rain didn’t stop for a minute. However in the bedroom, it was warm and bright. Mr. Wan was playing Majiang online on bed and his son, Peter, craned his neck to get a better view at his father’s cellphone. Ms. Wan was busy in her daily English practice. She was not very happy because she wanted his son to learn with her or at least, stayed away from the screen after a day’s online study.

The father and son didn’t talk because they played happily. It was quiet in the room but the noise of the rain was louder now and they could hear it on the window. Suddenly Ms. Wan looked up and said:“Listen, there’s a noise at the door, what is it? ” She got up from her chair and went forward to the front door.

“No, stopped!” Peter suddenly cried out.

“Why not?” Ms. Wan looked at his son in puzzlement. “There’s someone at the door.”

“It’s a bad night. Who would come out in such a terrible rain? Except…except…you know,  a ghost or a series killer!”

Ms. Wan looked at his son and murmured to herself: “Oh, my god. Another one in this family has lost his mind!”

“Mum, that’s so typical in a horrified movie!” Peter continued.

Ms. Wan ignored her son and opened the door.

There was this ugly, horrified creature standing in the darkness. His head was very, very big, like an enormous bag with a lot of long hair enveloping his whole body.

Before Ms. Wan let out a scream, this creature said in a strange, low voice: “Your-son-had-not-finished-his-homework.”

That was the last thing Ms. Wan remembered before she passed out.
