I’ve been reading English books with Mintreading for almost two years and during this period, I’ve joined many reading WeChat groups. Some are pretty active and others are simply not. I did benefit a lot from two of them, where several people, including me, shared our reading reviews almost every day. It has a lot of fun, you know, to capture your inspirations in words, to imitate writing or sometimes even changes the plotlines as you want, especially when you are doing them with a couple of friends.

Unfortunately, in the recent reading groups, nobody has ever done the same. Thereafter, I also stopped writing reviews. When it comes to study, we talk a lot about self-discipline, but heteronomy does matter, the inspiration and aspiration we get from the others also play an important role in the journey of learning. Every one of us needs a little bit push and encouragements from time to time. Once self-disciple couples with heteronomy, we could do something that we thought was impossible.

Four days ago, we start to read Big Little Lies and I decided to pick up my old habits. I started to share my reviews in group. At first it’s kind of awkward because I was the only one to do so. However the encouragements and likes I received from the others make me push my shyness aside and continue.

To my great pleasure, a few people started to join me. And today a review from Leanne really caught my eyes, not just because her writing is smooth and beautiful, but also the idea, her attitude towards life she presented really inspires me a lot.
