Bloodline is the forth book of Sidney Sheldon that i recently read. Definetly the best one among them.( The other three are : Are you afraid the dark? The Best Laid Plan and Nothing Lasts Forever). I went through it quite fast and it is a bone chilling, exciting novel mixed with romance and suspense.
But one thing left unclear about this story. I am little confused about Walther Gassner and Anna Roffe. At the first of the story, Walther appeared as a typical no-good godden digger. He married Anna(an unattractive elder woman with deep pocket)and successfully entered into Roffe and Sons. In the middle of the story he became a jealous husband who tried to kill his children because they have taken up too much attentions from his wife. But in the end we got to know that his children had died at birth. It's in Anna Roffe's imagination that he tried to hurt them. Obviously Anna was mad. So question came, how could Walther be such a great guy? If he didn't marry Anna for her money, he must love her like crazy. Even she went mad for so many years, and even she tried to kill him, he still stayed with her. It's just so unlike Walthner. Why didn't call for help? It doen't make any sense.
