how to earn money

Recently I have several sleepless nights worrying about money. To be frank, i have a not bad income, but I have't got much money left every month after paying my mortgage and other living cost. I spend too much money on many useless things, for example clothes, shoes, bags and other. I couldn't afford anything if i keep spending money this way. If i lost my job, what should i do without another channel to earn money? I need to learn how to manage my money? Put it in bank? Invest?
I think my FQ (Financial quotient) is very low. sigh!

- It is very important to save money in an appropriate way, like investment or something like that, another way is to make a good plan about daily expenditure to see what necessities are you going to buy and what else that you do not actually need to consume out of impulsion.
Every day make a little bit accumulation of money then you more or less will make a big fortune on some level.

- Well, can't blame you for not being able to save money because a large part of your income has gone to paying mortgage. Paying mortgage is also a type of savings because eventually you would finish paying your mortgage, then you would be secure owning your own home without having to pay rent. Owing your own home cannot be wrong and that is true for the past hundreds of years.
We still have to live decently and look presentable, so spending some money on dressing up is inevitable.
However, it is a good habit to set aside some money as savings. Start saving some money from next month and you would be happy knowing that you have something in the bank. They always say, ''drops of water form a big river''.
