It is July 6, cloudy and a little cool. I got up very early to see my younger brother off in Beijing West Railway Station. I feel a little empty and sad after he got onto the train. It is the first time that he takes the train for himself. I suddenly realize that he has grown up, too. For the whole day, I eat nothing but some custard cakes and hams. I am alone now and have nothing else but preparing for the postgraduate examination to pay attention to. In the afternoon, I spent nearly four hours to make a detailed plan for the following days from tomorrow to August 11 when I will have a seven-day course for politics. From tomorrow I have to live my life as the schedule goes, to get up at five o’clock in the early morning, to study all day, to go to bed no later than half past eleven at night. But I believe I can persist until I succeed because I have no other way to go.
