“Literature is my medicine.” This is what my former French teacher, who has been striving seriously to be a writer, once told me.

“Why isn’t it the breath you breathe?” I was puzzled.

“No. Because it can cure me and protect me from the frustrations of this world and my life.” He answered.

This conversation which influenced me profoundly happened two years ago. And now, I have had developed my own vision on literature, writing and reading, and I’d like to share with you and to make friends with people in same wave.

Recently, I have read two English books, namely, The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn and Short Stories of O. Henry. Now I’m reading my first English book of a woman writer. The book is called The World Unseen. After that, I’m expecting a possible wonderful experience by reading an English crime fiction called Cruel and Unusual. I haven’t read any crime fiction yet. It would be interesting to explore different genres. Which one do you like most? Fiction? Non-fiction? Biography? What content do you like most? Love story? Crime story? Thriller? Science fiction? Who is your favorite writer? J.K.Rowling? Mark Twin? O. Henry? John Updike?

I just can’t stop reading English books. I don’t know why. Chinese books seem lost interest to me which I know is not reasonable. I enjoy my adventure through alphabetic words and completely delighted by the new vision conveyed by English thoughts.

I hope that there is someone who would share his or her own adventure of English literature with me. Anytime. Any book-lover is welcome!
