Sitting in front of the screen, my mind is blank, but my partner tries hard to give me writing clues. Yes, I enjoy writing but I found it’s so brain-driven to write recently. Suddenly I seem to have lost interest in everything. Nothing provokes my writing Muse. Nothing sparks my thinking. I drift away as time gently passed me by.

      My French e-pal Eric once told me that sometime people waste time in order to save time. He desperately want to go back to France while was trapped in Japan then. He said that he did nothing everyday just for reflection so as to make a good start for another new journey.

      My Chinese friend Penny, who is about to go Australia to study this October, told me almost the same sentence too. “ Life in Australia may be very challenging and unpredictable, I used to worry a lot but now I do nothing about it. Simply drift my time away while handling some little affairs.

      We are taught to seize the second, to seize the minute, to seize the hour, to seize the day, but one thing we are not taught which is equally important, that is we are human beings with emotional changes and physical discomfort, not machines that can run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

      Take our time. Let’s waste time in order to save time.
