The word "love" he gave to me

At last he gave me the word "love". He, who is not handsome at all, is my colleague and my best friend. We have been know each other for one year. And he is not more capetent than me. But he did well to me. Taking care for me each time when we were out for work and talked to me when I was not happy. He gave up the free time to be with me. I am really moved by him. And to tell the truth, I know he likes me.
However, he gave me the word finally that he wanted me to be his GF. I did not know how to answer. I need time to get used of the new relation.
