I can hardly believe it’s already been two years since I started teaching at Tiannan School. During this time, I have learned many things, not just self-discipline, but a tireless spirit of selflessness. I have also seen in the eyes of many children from poor families a desire to learn, and a feeling of gratitude. The reasons for their families’ poverty vary, and one can’t just blame the parents. Much less can one begrudge the children. Caring for children, extending them a helping hand, helping them to overcome problems, helping them to complete their assigned tasks – all of this is a way society shows its progress, and requires the love and hard work and talent of all society’s members.
转眼间， 在天南中学做义教也将近有两年的时间了。在这个过程中，我学到很多东西，不仅锻炼了自己，但更多的是学到了许多人的孜孜不倦的乐于助人的精神，以及看到了许多生活在贫困家庭孩子渴望求知的眼神和一颗感恩的心。贫穷是因为种种原因造成的，不能报怨贫困家庭的父母，更不能责怪生活在贫困中的孩子，因为他们己经承受的太多。关心爱护贫困孩子，向他们伸出援助之手，帮他们解决困难、完成学业，是社会进步的表现，是需要生活在社会这个大家庭中每个成员共同的努力和爱心才能实现的。

As college students, we may not be able to offer the children material support, but from our heart we can offer them support and encouragement, and we can help them learn. A traditional Chinese ethic teaches us that we cannot abandon the poor, but must help them develop themselves. Still, when we help children, we must be very careful about how we do it. We must consider carefully their feelings, and help them grow healthy and strong, which is our ultimate objective. With a humble respect for their value as human beings, we must show them how one gives one’s heart. In the end, I want my work not only to help them overcome the passing difficulties of this moment, but to inculcate values upon their hearts that will help them for a lifetime.
作为大学生的我们，虽然不能为那些贫困孩子提供物质帮助，但是我们可以从精神上给予他们支持和鼓励，从学习上给予他们帮助。济贫帮困是中华民族的传统美德，我们不但不能丢掉，还要发扬光大。但是，在帮助孩子这件事上我们一定要注意方式方法，多考虑他们的感受，使其能够茁壮健康的成长，这才是我们最终的目的。我们甚至可以直接到贫困孩子的家中，平等的、静悄悄的、不掺任何杂质的把这份真挚的爱双手捧给孩子。我想，不仅这种爱心会帮他们度过暂时的困难，而且这笔精神财富将使他们受益一生。

Therefore, giving our love is a way to help the impoverished children of Tiannan to satisfy their desire to learn, to develop themselves, to realize their dreams. Though we give them only a feeling of the spirit, their benefit is also of the spirit.
因此，给予我们的爱心，帮助困难的人。 给予我们爱心，帮助贫困学子实现他们的理想之梦。给予爱心，帮助贫困学子圆他们渴望求知的眼神。虽是滴水之情，但却温暖孩子的心灵。
