I’m an English major. I've been learning English for nearly 13 years. Only God knows how much effect I put into it! Now I really love English very much~

Almost everyone knows that we should learn English well, but few of us know how to learn it well. Karl Marx has set a good example for us. He once said, "When one is learning a foreign language, he must use the foreign language." In this way, he could use several languages. A saying goes, "Practice makes perfect." Different people may have different ways to learn English. When we learn English, we should read more, speak more, listen to English from time to time and practice writing every day. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. Only in this way can we learn it well.

I think the best way to learn English is keep practicing everyday, learn it happily and freely. Never stick to your textbooks and ridiculous grammar for     high scores. Read English newspapers, magazines, novels etc. to broaden your horizons; watch English movies to help you understand English culture. And if you want to learn English well you must be interested in it.

If you enjoy learning English, you will spend more time on it, and you will do it regularly. A high level of motivation will also give you another advantage. It will be easier for you to memorize new words and grammar structures. The reason is that the brain easily remembers information on a subject that you like. (For example, some people like history and know everything about World War II. If you told a "normal person" to memorize all these facts, they could never do it.) So enjoyment of learning gives you double benefits.

In china, as students we don’t have enough opportunities to communicate with native speaker. Usually we study English in classes, obviously it is not enough. We must grasp every opportunity to speak. Don’t be shy. No one will think you are stupid. The more you speak, the better you will. So please speak without fear. Like anything, learning English requires practice.  Don’t let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.
