This is a time for learning English.

In my opinion, there are two key elements in learning English. One is intetest, the other is decision.

Some people appeal to it when first get touch with it. Some need to develop interst in it. Since language is a tool for communication or learning concrete things, one should be attach to its culture. Or we say, when you learn a language, you could also know its background, politic, culture, economy, history, movie and songs. If you could show interest at least in one aspect, you may love the language.I began to like English when the first time I listen to English songs. But that time I was a child, I couldn't understand most of the lyrics. So I manage to learn English hard in order to understand the lyrics. I like Hollywood movie too. I think one can improve his English through reciting lines. Those classical lines could also make you deep in thought and reflect on yourself. Some entertainment program I want to share with u, such as TV shows made by FOX. Saturday Night Live, The Moment of Truth, So you think you can dance, American Idol are wonderful.Maybe finding an idol who is English native speaker could also arouse  the desire to learn English. No matter what dose he or she do, there is still a saying, love me love my dog. I also recommand English learners try to realize some goals through English. For instance, if you join an English speech competetion, you prepare the most and then get a reward. In this way, you would like English more.

I really don't think there is any shortcut to learn English. Just make a decision to learn it and make the specific schemes. Word: Just holding  on a dictionary and learning the words by heart is not effective. My advice is reading. Read more and memory the new words through reading. Grama: One book is enough. A good way to know grama is to analyse the sytax. Especially some long sentences, when you got to understand it thoroughly, no grama could defeat you. Listening: songs, movie and TV shows are good materials. You could often listen to this. At the same time, your oral English will be improved. Of course you should also speak loud and often communicate in English to practice. Reading: Learn how to do a good job in intensive reading and extensive reading. Intensive reading requires you to read carefully and focus on the specific things. Extensive reading requires you to read quickly. The skim and scan skill will help you a lot. Writing: this is an opera difficult to act. Try to think how do you practice your Chinese writing. Obeserve, read, recite, write. This is a basic step. Now there is a good terrace to practice writing. Writing blog is a good way to improve English. You could also share your ideas, stories, materials and making friends.
