Goddess of beauty in my eyes

Each of us has his or her favorite actor or actress. My most favorite actress is Ms. LIU Yifei. 刘亦菲. In my eyes, she just represents the classic Chinese beauty.

Of course, I am not lucky enough to meet her in person. What all I know about her is the results of some hype of the media. I could be wrong. Maybe what I like the most is not really the true personality of Ms. LIU Yifei, but rather the characters cast by her. I combined the characters with the actress herself. Many people made the same mistakes like me.

On the other hand, I am lucky enough to meet her biological father in Paris. He worked as a Chinese diplomat in the Education Office within Chinese Embassy to France at that time. Prior to that post, he had been a professor of French in the Wuhan University.

To my big surprise, he was much less handsome than I’d imagined. Given his star daughter is so exceptionally beautiful, I had presumed that her parents should also be very handsome and good-looking.

With a view to protecting the privacy, I can’t reveal the content of our brief conversation. But I can say that it is not always an easy thing to have a celebrity daughter. You risk to lose your own identity and become the “father of LIU Yifei” in the eyes of others.

In the past, rumors suggested that she was a transsexual. Nonsense. A man cannot be as beautiful as she is. Her stepfather is a rich Chinese overseas businessman. She is lucky to enjoy the best of the two worlds. It seems she possess already everything at the age of 18 that one girl can dream of from the life: fame, success, wealth, beauty, good family. It lacks only one thing, a good husband.

She is now maybe the most eligible bachelorette in China. Who will become her Prince Charming?
