I have the Beijing English Tour Guide Certificate for one year , but never use it.
Yesterday, I guided a couple from Danmark .They are 37, and they told me they just knew each other for 8 months. I think they are so romatic. They have been many countries together. They can speak Danmnise, Germany, and English.
I picked them up at their hotel in Gulou. And we went to the Prospect Hill and the Forbidden City in the morning. In the afternoon, we went to the Tian'anmen square and Dashilan. It's strange that they don't eat eggs when we had lunch. And when I asked them whether they wanted to have a look at the shop, they said no shops. They may think that I would persuade them to buy something in order to get some profit from the shop, but I didn't mean that when I asked them . I just wanted to show them how were our traditional shops looked like.
They told me they wanted to go to some none-travelling places. I thought a long time and felt the none-travelling places were not well worth visiting compared with there tourist places.
Finally I decided to take them to Zizhuyuan and Peking University. We chose bus. Altough there was traffic jam, they were very excited and asked me what's this and what's that. When we steped into Zizhuyuan, they told me that they liked this place, and it's very nice because there weren't many people. Then I realized that what they realy wanted to see was the real life of Beijingners.
When we finished visiting Peking University, they gave me 300 yuan , my service fee. This was the first money I made by myself, I was so excited that I didn't want to spend it. I took a photo with my 300RNB.
If I have time, I would like to be an English tour guide again.
