DO YOU really believe in LOVE? ~answer me~

This question has been cofusing me for a very long time. Not just me, but a lot of my friends,especially girls. Yesterday i think about this question again because i said i don't believe in love when i had a quarrel with my boyfriend. He was really angry and sad after hearing those words and he questioned that if i don't believe in love, what is the meaning of our relationship. I couldn't answer him and i was regretful to say that.
Just try to imagine, if a person was hurt by love for several times, how can he/she believe in love desperately? Of course, time can heal your pains but it cannot remove the reality and the truth. when people falls in love at the first time, their opinion towards love is pure and simple. In their mind, love could conquer anything and they believe in forever love and pure love. After a period of time, they begin to realize that it's not enough that we just have love.
Then, they became confused and depressed until the second love comes. But this time.people will be careful and easy to be negative in love. One after another. One seperation after another one. we are tired. No forever, no simple love. There are many problems need us to solve, to overcome. The couple must struggle for their future togrther and no one can escape from it.
One of my best girl friend told me that we must protect ourselves from being hurt by love. The only way is DON'T REALLY BELIEVE IN LOVE. It sounds sorrowful but...........
I don't know what to say. Do you believe in it? so why? or why not?

but the realist is too brutally.dont use believe. we must manage it.not only believe.please saving our own life.

Just find a balance between you really BF and your prefect BF in your dream. Because we are very ordinary,we are not the God , we all have the disadvantage (maybe the God also has his own disadvantage.. maybe hehe ). just trust and understand each other.
Don't care more about pure love , really love maybe is more important,just i think.

- that is life. we live between success and fail.now you are succeed,but you may failed suddenly.And vice versa.if we calm down,we can discover that successes are equal fails.why we must remember the fail?Don't enjoying the success.and so is love.

- Janice: Actually I can't distinguish love from like.That's just a vague image in my mind，or what I have learned from my friends who have ever been in love.hehei have no idea with true love. I can't judge it by my sense or anything happened. Maybe that is a process which two people enjoy a lot and suffer lot and finally learn to be loved or love sb. if only they can maintain the relationship.

Bacause i'm scared that sth. miserable may hide under the happinness. so,i usaully feel a little bit sad while some good things come to me.
