I don't wanna be a shopaholic

610 views. 2009-8-17 00:21 |

I watched the movie <Confessions of a shopaholic> yesterday. The girl Rebecca used to buy a lot of things whatever she liked even luxury. At the same time, she tried to avoid the man who works at a debtor corporation, she made various weird lies to put off paying the credit card statements. She dreamed of entrying a fashion magzine, however, she was employed by an economics magzine by a twist of fate. She became a writer for the column with a icon that a girl's sihouette wearing a green scarf. To her surprise, her articles were so popular to make her famous until her lies were exposed. Then she sold most of clothes, shoes and bags including her signal the green scarf to pay the bank bills. So, whenever she had a wish to buy something which she was attract by, she ask herself first "if I really need it?"

About the question, I ask myself also when I have the desire to buy something. But it's no use to me, I always can find various excuses to take it home. Last Friday, I went shopping for cosmetic. At first, I bought 2 eye shadows and 1 lip stick from M.A.C. And then I turned to Lunasol to buy another eyeshadow and tried the colourful eye liners on my hand. When I paid for them, I decided to another store opposite this one. I got the cosmetics I bought and went through the underpass. I shopped in a new opening shop and bought a scarf (not green) and a hair grip quickly. I wanted to leave 'cause I wanted to make me stop shopping. But I stood at the bus station watching my hand which was full of eye lines I tried on. The longer I watched them, the more I love them. Suddenly I realized I had to own then immedietly. I went through the underpass again and went straight the Lunasol telling BA to give me the blue one and the gray one. Paid for them, took them and return to the bus station. I felt very satisfied. That was why I couldn't stop shopping.

I have watched the movie.
Can't understand why you have such a strong desire for shopping?

The movie is nice, but I like the novel more. They are not the same.

Suddenly I found I had the book which one of my guests gave me last year. So I'll read it someday.

But I think it's time to control it unless I have money as more as I can earn.
