Fighting against skin problems

486 views. 2010-5-9 19:28 |

An ounce of prevention is worth several pounds of cure!
When it comes to keeping your skin smooth and fresh, you have to establish a daily routine that fortifies your skin against age signs like wrinkles, lines and sagging, and the biggest enemy ---the sun.
1. Moisturize with vitamin E oil. This vitamin not only erases scars and heals over wrinkles; it also prevents them from forming in the first place. Rub vitamin E oil into your skin before you moisturize to keep wrinkles at bay. Be sure the oil has absorbed completely before you move on.
2. Apply moisturizer at least twice a day. You must moisturize after you shower and again after you wash your face before bed. If you have dry skin, then you may want to add another moisturizing session in when you get home from work.
3. Make sure that you are getting plenty of vitamin C and vitamin A. Vitamin C is found in citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits and lemons. Vitamin A is often easiest to take in a supplement, but you can also get it from oatmeal. These vitamins encourage your skin to produce collagen and elastin in the same quantities that it did when you were in your teens.
4. Drink 3 to 4 cups of green tea each day. Green tea is full of antioxidants, which fight off free radicals, high-energy molecules that attack the skin, damage skin cells and can even cause skin cancer.
5. Wear sunscreen. Use a minimum SPF of 15. This protects your skin from weathering from the sun, which can result in leathery, tough skin.

A good friend of skin--Cucumbers
How to use cucumbers to close pores and keep the skin looking fresh and smooth?

1. Slice cucumbers. Place those slices on the eyes. This will help you to relax and also reduce puffiness and dark circles. Remove and place fresh slices after some time.

2. Pulp a cucumber in a grinder and mix it with a tsp(=teaspoonful) of lemon juice. Apply this all over the face and skin. Let it dry and wash with plain water. This face pack will clean the pores and reduce the oil on the skin. It acts like an astringent. You could also add rose water to the face pack.It is a very refreshing pack for summers.

3. Pulp a cucumber and add a tsp of yogurt and some powdered milk. Mix and apply all over the face and neck. Let it dry. Wash after some time. This will keep the skin glowing in summers preserving the moisture of the skin without making it oily. It is an excellent face pack for those who have neither very oily nor very dry skin.

Hehe, it's funny to read this, being European.

You call the sun the greatest enemy. In Europe, girls adore the sun. When it's shining, they run outside and lie themself half naked down to get a brown skin...

Haha, Chinese girls consistently persue white and smooth skin. When summer comes, the sun cream ads begin to flood in television. Though we know that sunshine is good for health, we still like to avoid that, maybe our skin are more fragile and vulnerable to get allergic...
