The Day of Christmas in 2008

It is the first time I write an article on Christmas. I have no special feelings about Christmas because it is not our traditional festival. Maybe most of us just take it as an excuse of hanging out with our friends or having a big diner. Christmas does not mean a lot to us. But I still like Christmas because the surroundings become more beautiful.
Sometimes I am aware that many shops and businessmen use Christmas as their tool to draw costumers' attention so that they can benefit a lot from it. Christmas has been commercialized here in China. To be honest, most of us don't take Christmas seriously. It's just like weekends to us. Then, why do we celebrate it? Perhaps for fun? It is a question.
Today I have my contrastive linguistics exam. It's so difficult to me that I wanna kill myself at the sight of the translation section on the paper. God bless me! I have made every effort to perfect my translation skills but I still have a long way to go. The day I become the master of both English and Chinese is in the distance. But I will try. Maybe one day my dream will come true, or maybe not. It doesn't matter because it is a dream.
I am on my way to be accepted as a postgraduate student. Maybe one day I will pursue my Ph.D. just like you, but of course in a different field. My major is English.
