Finally, I chose literature as my study direction in my postgraduate study. I want to be a translator, just as I once said. However, I think no matter what are you intended to do in the field of English, you should primarily a master of English language which is the tool of your further study, no matter in what kind of direction. So I want to learn literature first to further elevate my English, which will facilitate my further personal development.

     This morning, we meet professor Xie at her office in Wenbo building. We discussed a lot and she removed many a puzzle of our study in the coming time. At last, she offered us a list of reference books which are the main reading material in the following time of this semester. After the discussion with mentor Xie, I found that I am more superficial than I thought. I need more time as well as more attention on reading coz what I have known is too little.
