Garfield – is the nickname of a girl, one of my friends.

     This noon when I was in the crowded canteen for lunch, the buffet, I unconsciously put much mushroom in my lunch-box. I didn’t like mushroom before, not disgusting but just no interested in it. When I put a large amount of mushroom in my lunch-box a second time, I realized my preference to it. When I sit down facing a pile of mushroom in my lunch-Box, I knew it is still not my favorite food now. But why I put them in my lunch-box?

     Garfield loves mushroom very much. We almost have lunch everyday in the last two or nearly three months before graduation. I think she prefers mushroom but she never told me exactly. I was influenced by her and became the fan of mushroom spiritually. “Spiritually” means I don’t become the fan of its taste, but I am attracted by it coz it is the favorite food of my friend. Just as you see, sometimes I am vacillating and easily effected by those around me. I accept and appreciate all the characteristics of those I trust nearly blindly and unconsciously imitate them.

     In fact we became intimate with each other just this semester. Although we knew each other before, that was not intimacy between friends, which means trust unconditionally and a haven for consolation. Garfield has been in her hometown now and she is doing a job fit her though she doesn’t like it. Maybe at noon she was in another canteen having mushroom in her lunch box.

     Different places, but the same food. Maybe this way of missing is also nice, I think.
