MY DREAM,MY JOB

537 views. 2008-12-27 05:10 |Individual Classification:SPEECHES|

The topic of my speech is "My Dream, my job".Frankly speaking, as to my dream, I think I want to be an  excellent translator in the near future. In fact, there is certain reason why I decide to become a translator, which is related to the experience myself.
Now,please let me tell you a short story about my English learning.Once I bought a book in an English edition,so I attempted to read it over. However, during my reading, I found it difficult to memory its content. Then, I had an abrupt idea which was to translate it into Chinese. At the beginning, it seemed impossible for me to complete the task since there were too many new words and the sentence structure were not so simple.By the way, it was common that there were numerous compound sentences.
Thanked to my dictionary, which helped me to solve the word problems,I was able to analyze the grammar of the passages successsfully. Eventually, I succeeded in completing my virgin translation work through thick and thin. From then on, I was unconsciously fascinated with translation.I translated other English edition books one by one.Meanwhile, I gradually regard translation as my life-time pursuit and one of the things that can prove my value.
With the more deeply study, I recognized my disadvantges and the distance between dream and reality. It is heard that translation is a complicated and tedious duty and only the one who can endure loneliness is able to conquer it .Fortunately, I'm the right type of that person.
In order to come true my dream, I made preparations to accept any challenge.Only by accumulating  enough knowlege,I can cope with the obstacles in the future.
As the old saying goes, where there is a will, there is a way.I hold the conviction that I am bound to achieve my dream through permanent  efforts.
        Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
