Today I attended an doctoral oral defence hold our big brother ,supervisor’s oldest student. Most of relative professor in our school came to the defence meeting. Oral defence is an interesting phrase which means presenting sb’sgraduate dissertation and answering proficients’ questions. Defence is a very vivid translation. Especially when you answer question, you are vividly explaining defence. Succeed in defence, succeed in all.

Of course, big brother completed his defencesuccessfully after about 45min presentation and 30min question and answering.Frankly speaking, it is a successful oral defence but is it a successful 4 or 5 year’s doctoral life. The answer differ to different people.The achievement that acquired an academic reputation then stay at school for teaching is considered very wonderful by some people. But it never satisfy me.

What’s the advantages I have as an doctor of my supervisor over the other students or workers. I think the answer is the resource. The resource.laboratory, free software, free data, companion, library, teacher are the big resource.

So, going abroad is my certain choose after about 2 years later. The following are my goal in this 2 years.

1、          Learn the software although it’s very hard to learn by myself or only 2-3 people to ask. It’s an significant ability in my career. Without mastering the software, It’s shamed to say you are pro.’s student.

2、          Broaden the horizon and cultivate the interests of this major. Read more and more books relatived to major not only on the tiny research filed.

3、          Improving English skill drastically. My dad always say, in 21st,English is a skill likes driving a car or using computer. It’s lifelong carrer.
