After the Copenhagen Climate Summit ended without reaching a binding treaty, America seems not very happy about the risings of developing countries, especially China. These days, screeching voice brays across all kind of news media that Obama will actuate arm sales to Taiwan and prepare to meet Dalai. If he did so as reported, the relationship of China and America would be affected inevitably. But I think this kind of things definitely would happen judged from the past practices of American Presidents. Obama is a kissing cousin too for his need of political performances to flatter his constituencies by showing his hard attitude toward China, anyway, the middle-term election is on the corner. China, again, would be used as a suitable tool for them to show their so-called righteous characteristics. The reason why Obama would unscrupulously intervene Chinese inner affairs lies in its irrefutably strong power. But,Chese is not that haggard East Asia ill man anymore. There is a kind of confident voice can be heard clearly now. Yangyi,a rear admiral of Chinese Navy, points out that we Chinese can punish those American Military companies who sell arms to Taiwan Province. He say that there are many motives ,for example, politics and safety consideration, motives of commercial interest, etc, of America to actuate the arm sales to Taiwan. Among them, those big military companies are important forces. They anticipate Chinese mainland to buy their plane and other products on one hand, while tout their arms to Taiwan for high profits and intervene Chinese inner affairs.
‘why don’t we fight back them by punishing these trouble-makers besides lodging a vain protest against America? We should let those companies and interest groups which dare to infringe and hurt interests of Chinese suffer heavier losses than their gains in arms sales to Taiwan! Some people think that selling arms to Taiwan is an ingrained policy of America which is stipulated by Taiwan relations Act and it is its political need to meet Dalai and all presidents of American can’t change them.
Yang Yi contends: There is nothing in this world can’t be changed. The problem is it is still not the time for this change. We can’t anticipate that we can reverse the whole trend of relationship of America and Chinese overnight. We can’t wish American change its minset toward China overnight, but we can mould the policy option of America by our unremitted efforts. It is the high time to say no to Americans.
