Today,i bump into three short stories which are inspiring.I want to share them with you.First story:In Chinese history,it was hard to be an official while it was more harder to be an honest and upright official.Except restraining oneself from wrongdoings and serving for the court and the mass with heart,the most difficult thing for a honest and upright official is facing his relatives and old buddies.SongJing is a prime minister in Tang Dynasty.One day,a son of one of his old friends ,wanting to be promoted by court.sent Song Jing an article named as Article of Good Prime Minister.In it,he used the most gorgeous wordes to depict the achievements of Song Jing.He exaggerated that Song Jing has surpassed Yantsu and Zhang Liang in ancient time and overtook Weizheng,Fang Xuanling in the period of Tai emperor of Tang Dynasty.After finishing reading the whole article,Song Jing made sure this writer was really a gifted person with a great capability of expression.But this guy has no virtues and was good at flattering.It was not good to protmote such a person who would affect the country as well as Songjing himself.So,SongJing decided not to promote him.Liu Tong Xun,is a household name of modern China.He was father of Liu Yong,nicknamed as Humpback Liu.He was a good official then and served as a high-rend official in Qing court.There were lots of people eagering to be promoted through greasing him.One night,there is a fellow townman sent a precious stuff into Liu's.Our of his expectation,Liu Tongxun summoned officails and disclosed this scandal and admonished his subordinates:From now on,rigteous man don't engage in demean things.If you have words to express,even when you are not satisfied with me,please expound them loudly before public.Dropping at me furtively at home is forbiddened.These two officials lived in different periods,but their reactions to wrongdoings were the same.The ends of them were well too.So,we can say,they didnt' aquiescence to those potentially corruptive official. It was good for their courts and it was good for them to have a good end.
