Frogs in lukewarm water.

This noon, while I was roaming in the campus of HIT after lunch, suddenly a blare disturbed the serenity of the campus and distracted me from appreciating the scenery of HIT. It was so sudden and sounded so impatient that my heart beat madly. I budged toward the shoulder of the pathway promptly and saw a green car was creeping on the pathway. It was obvious that I had blocked its way. But I was innocent for vehicles were prohibited driving on this pathway. So it  was blameless for me to shuffle on the middle of the pathway. I threw a glimpse on the driver behind the steering wheel. A lady again! She was chubby with her eyebrows twisting together. Judged from her disposition, she must be a  teacher, at least a white colar in some office of HIT. Judged form her yellow and murk feature, I draw a conclusion that she was smack another representative of  the subhealthy.  She was so arrogant and proud that she seemed never respect the right of a pedestrian. Yes, for her, possessing a car is an indispensable mark of success. But for me, I thought she was committing chronic suicide. I forgave her for her impatience and wanted to give her an advice if she would stop her luxurious car. In that case, I would advise her to give up her car and rely on her legs again.

Yes, we modern people like enjoying the convineices brought by science developement. But with the evolvement of science, we are in the track of chronic degeneration. For example, the application of fire helps us to have ripe and wholesome foods, while at the same time, the function of our stomach, compared with ape, our relative, has been weaker in digestion. When diversified vehicles emancipate our leggs from slogging along roads, our leggs were becoming more useless and thinner than before. Our coordination function become weak too. One of  deputy director of our work unit who was in his 50s, had been hospitalized 2 times last year for bone fracture after he slipped down on the stairs outside his apartment. Can you imagine that once he was a strong and agile man who always won trophys in sports meetings. He is a typical victim of reling too much on vehicles. There are several cars in my work unit and let me tell you that the drivers who are in their 40s all plagued by some kind of chronic illnesses. For example, cervical vertebra disease, lumbar intervertebral disk herniation, high blood pressure, etc. These are alive examples of adverse affect of driving a car but it seems that there are no many of us notice it. This reminds me of a famous story of boiling frog.

It is said that a frog can be boiled alive if the water is heated in protracted increments. If a frog is placed in boiling water it will quickly jump out but if it is placed in cold water and gradually heated, it will not move rather, it will boil to death. I hope we can pay attention to our healths and don't count on modern tools too much. We should pursue a kind of balanced life style and keep viligant on the subtle changes of our bodys and take precautious measures, such as doing exercises, enhancing nutrition supply, etc, to keep ourselves healthy. And I think this job must be done as early as your can. Or you would be a dorky frog too.

Hi, there. Before you start your walking, please do me a favour. These days, my computer is mischievious again---its two speakers can't let out sound. Video software working well. I can't figure out what's going wrong. I tihnk there must be errors in Sound drivers programme. I am shameful to ask my colleagues for such problem. Can you offer me a hand?

The imformation about your problem is limited.Video software? You means Media Player or something? You can hear the sound? If you can hear the sound, the sound driver probably has no problem. You can check your vol-control(附件-娱乐-音量控制)。You can see all the output in this window. You can hear sound means the output is normal.Perhaps the problem happened on the input(the computer can not record what you say on mic).Click the 选项 of this window and then open 属性. In this new window you can find out a pull-down menu of 混音器.Choose the Input. Then you can see some items in the input windows.Pay attention to the vol of mic.You can try to adjust it.If it takes no effect,it is possible that you have problem in the software which you used to talkwith others.Skype?QQ?
I hope what I said can help you.By the way,I have walked for one hour today.
