The chiness new year 2011 is known as the year of rabbit.It's formal name is xinmou.Do you know chinese zodiac? Rabbit is one of them .In china,a child doesn't need to remember which year he was born in .They only need to remember which animal year they were born in.Red stands for happiness and luck in china,so we use some red things to decorate our house,our streets and our buildings.For example,we post calligraphy signs on the front door ,and hang red lanterns in our houses.Chinese new year is an especially fine for children,because they can get lots of lucky money.We primarily eat dumplings .Chinese new year always includes a big parade with many dancers.The celebration will last 15 or 18 days ,and every night was ended with  lots of fireworks and dance.
