- Yes the searing heat is quite unbearable especially in the hot afternoons. Girls are more intolerant to hot weather. There are still 2 more months to go before the weather cools. Don't know how you gonna live through those months.
However, as a student, try to adapt to it. Students dorms are only responsible for providing basic needs. Once you install and aircon, you would be more intolerant to heat and probably won't want to step out of your room. I know fans are not of much use, but it is sort a better than nothing.
I don't know, but here in my city, Hong Kong, a fan is enough for indoor cooling. There is no sweating and quite comfortable. Perhaps we are near the sea that is why.
I don't want to appear complacent, but as I said, try to tolerate it if you can.

- not so bad to stay indoors because of the heat outstide is very horrible, what else can we do then? you are probably to with an air condition and do something else, time limited and do not waste it even at the time when you are home.
