The market is closed because of two-week spring festival holidays. Jack is reluctant to part with the market. Luckily, his parents are with him otherwise he will be very alone and lonely. Additionally, Cheryl comes to live with them, which makes the family much busier. But Jack is downhearted and closes himself in the study watching fascinatedly the market K-line diagram on the computer screen. Sometimes he discusses the market with Cheryl.

‘Cheryl, what’s your opinion?’ Jack is indecisive.

‘Jack, you must make a prompt decision now that you have got the loan. As a man you must express your boldness to take the flyer. Windfall always belongs to those who dare to leap in the dark. I ensure the news is certain. Most of my colleagues have bought the stock. Let’s do like this. We buy the stock as soon as the market is opened. Then we just hold the stock two week until February 25. We sell the stock February 28, no matter the price goes up or down.’ She manages to edge on him.

‘I will consider your opinion.’ He isn’t determined.

春节到了，股市放假两周。杰克恋恋不舍地离开证券营业部，好彩父母都在这边，不会感到孤单寂寞，另外，谢丽尔也过来住了，家里热闹了很多。杰克还是闷闷不乐，把自己关在书房里，看着股市K线图出神，时而跟谢丽尔讨论行情。

‘谢丽尔，你怎么看？’杰克犹豫不决。

‘杰克，既然贷款拿到了，就一定要当机立断。作为男子汉，要勇于放手一搏，横财总是眷顾那些敢干冒险的人。我保证消息是可靠的，很多同事都买了。咱们可以这么做，假期一结束，马上买入，持有两周到二月二十五日，二月二十八日，无论是涨是跌都卖掉。’她极力怂恿鼓励他。

‘我会考虑你的意见。’他还是下不了决心。

‘You have adequate time to consider it, baby. In order to let you have inspiration to make a right decision, I suggest we go out with your parents sightseeing and you can take the chance to relax. In case you may have a good idea during the excursion.’

‘You’re right, belle. Where will we go?” He suddenly remembers his parents. They have been here over a week going nowhere.

‘Let’s go to the theme park The World Window. Your parents know little about the world. Perhaps they enjoy seeing those foreign things. After that we go to Guoji Mansion having dinner in the revolving restaurant where your parents can enjoy the night piece of the city.’

‘Good idea, baby, thank you. Let’s go there tomorrow.’

‘宝贝儿，有足够的时间让你考虑。我看咱们带上你的父母出去转转，你借此机会放松一下，可能会激发灵感，做出正确决定。’

‘美女，说得对，咱们上哪儿？’他突然想起老爹老妈，他们一直闷在家里呢。

‘去世界之窗吧，你的父母对世界上的事情知道的不多，也许喜欢看看外国的东西。然后，去国际大厦，在那里的旋转餐厅吃晚饭，让老两口看看城市的夜景。‘

‘宝贝儿，这个主意好，谢啦。咱们明天去吧。’

There are many visitors to the World Window. Many of them come by car. Jack drives the car to the nearest park to the gate. He presses the horn button several times but the guard doesn’t let him drive in. He has to get out of the car and walks to the booth.

‘Why don’t you let me drive in? Don’t you hear my horn?’ He asks angrily.

‘I am sorry. This is a VIP car park where only Benz or BMW can park. Understand?’ The guard sends him a supercilious look.

‘What a stupid regulation!’ He intends to quarrel with the guard but he oppresses his anger coming back to the car. He doesn’t want to make his parents worry about him. Moreover, he isn’t the strong guard’s rival and can’t take profits if the conflict happens.

‘What’s the matter?’ Cheryl asks.

‘Nothing, the park is fully occupied. We have to look for another one.’

Half an hour later they find an empty seat for the car at last.

Jack’s parents never visited a theme park like the World Window. They are rapturous like children and ask Jack for pictures at any sight of the park. The park is so large that they spend whole afternoon in the park. It is six o’clock when they leave the park for the restaurant.

世界之窗的游人如潮，很多人是开车来的。杰克开着车来到离公园大门最近的停车场，按了几下喇叭，看车的保安员却不让他进。他只好下车走过去。

‘你怎么不让我进呢？没听见我按喇叭？’杰克愤愤地问道。

‘对不起，这是VIP停车场，只有奔驰和宝马可以在这儿停，明白吗？’保安员说完白了杰克一眼。

‘什么混蛋规定。’杰克想跟那个保安员讲讲理，可是他压住火，回到车里。他不想让父母替他操心，再说，那厮长得又高又大的，如果发生冲突，自己准得吃亏。

‘怎么回事？’谢丽尔问道。

‘没事儿，停车场没位了。咱们去另外一个。’

折腾了半小时，总算找个地方停下车。

杰克的父母从没见过像世界之窗这样的主题公园，他们俩高兴得像孩子似的，每到一个景点都要拍照留念。公园太大了，整整逛了一下午。从公园出来时，已经是晚上六点了。

It gets dark when they arrive at the restaurant car park. Jack drives the car to the gate and is stopped by a guard.

‘I am sorry, sir. You have to go elsewhere to have a dinner. We just receive those who own Bens and BMW cars this evening because the space is limited.’

‘I won’t have a free dinner. Why don’t you let me have a dinner here? The regulation you made is discrimination. I will sue your restaurant.’ Jack gets angry this time. It is the second time for him to be discriminated like this today.

他们驾车赶到旋转餐厅的停车场时，天已经黑了，杰克开车直奔停车场大门，却被一个保安员拦住了。

‘对不起，先生，你到其它饭店去吧，我们今天只接待坐奔驰和宝马的贵客，因为停车场地方有限。’

‘我们又不是来白吃的，为什么不允许我们在这儿吃饭？你们的规定有歧视嫌疑，我要投诉你们。’杰克这回真生气了，一天之内遭遇两次歧视。
