are there any difference between the pronounciation of Latin and Englishh

recently,i am on the way of learning uygur language. i faithfully believe that mastering this kind of minority laguage will convinient me from many perspectives when i am in Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region.
ياخشىمۇسىز! ئۇزۇن بولدى كۆرۈشەلمىدۇق. سالامەتلىكىڭىز ياخشىمۇ؟this sentence means ''long time no see,how are you.it is mysterious to me which inspired my interest to learn it originally.
تونۇشقانلىقىمدىن ئىنتايىن خۇشالمەن،فامىلىڭىز نېمە؟there are two written forms of uygur language,and another type of writting is in Latin alphbet.I know some basic pronounciation of the latin characters,but some of them are still confusing. i am eager to know whether english alphbet and latin alphbet are similar in pronounciation,so that i may find it much more easier to learn it.
