Some  banks in china finally decide to raise the charge of drawing cash on ATM, ,the action arouse wide opposition from the society ,and finally the government have to state their stance ,they don’t show support to any sides ,just require the finance organization  shoulder much more social responsibility .but in my view, the action have little effect on people life in short time ,but it will enhance the competitive power of big bank s,

We now have dozens banks across china ,except four big bank nationalized ,all of them are medium-sized even smaller ,they don’t have much branch ,so their ATM is less in number ,but for common people ,the adding two yuan charges may push them to select big bank ,their ATM are easily found anywhere ,so finally the little customer are drawn to big bank .finally the those smaller banks face the huge pressure ,once they begin give up the market ,finally the national banks will finally monopolize all the market ,at that time ,the competition will be diminished ,and they can surcharge on their clients ,and we have nowhere to complaint .

And the original intention to develop the finance industry is to booster competition ,and china have set anti-trust law to protect competition .but this time ,the government acquiesce the action of some bank ,I think it is irresponsible .if we deeply analyzed the action ,we will find many secret of the industry .

 Even the price increasing is not a conspiracy among banks ,it is initiated by one bank ,but the result is that other banks have to follow it even they don’t want do it .

If there are three banks A,B,C ,Bank A raised the charge ,and other two bank promised they will not raise the price in next five years .then those clients of Bank B and C will select Bank A ,once becoming the clients of Bank A , they can enjoy the service on ATM with lowest cost .

So Bank B and C have no other choice but to follow A .and for those smaller bank ,common depositors will select  bigger bank ,for them ,two yuan does mean something .

So I think the deed of some bank have a suspicion of monoploy ,even they don’t make it brazenly ,but it indeed forced others to take the same strategy ,and impair the benefits of smaller bank .according anti-trust law ,it should be prohibited .
