Most people think winter is coming. They are WRONG! Spring is coming. On December 8, the days will start getting longer! Most people think the shortest day of the year is December 22. WRONG again! Ha!
How can I say this? Is the rest of the world looking at the wrong day? First, I would ask you to look at a sunset calendar for anywhere in China, Beijing, Shanghai, XinJiang Autonomous Region, anywhere. Look at a December calender and look at the time at which the sun sets on Dec. 8. Then look at the time the sun sets on Dec. 15. As you will see, they days will be getting longer!
How can this be? The answer is simple. Between Dec. 8 and Jan. 8 the sunset gets later and later, but the sunrise is also getting later each morning. But which one do you notice the most. I don't see the sun rise every day. But I am almost always awake when it sets.
So, if you hate winter, just remember. The daylight you see in your evenings will start to get longer and longer in less than two weeks! Spring is coming!
