I'm working on a mini-series titled "Wrong", and here is the third chapter from
Part I: Liberty and Democracy.

Chapter Three: Artificial Ideas

Okay. Let's not go on talking about astronomical matters, but setting our sights down on earth, down on our human world. Unlike any other microscopic achievement we human enjoy bragging about, we are seldom aware of our often spectacular and sometimes even colorful ability to come up with some of the most ridiculous man-made ideas, and of course, our resolution to kill ourselves by the order of them. Those ideas include: rights, liberty, equality, democracy, patriotism, theism, capitalism, socialism and pretty much every -ism.

While I agree that the general use of the word "freedom" is mostly accurate, it should be noted that freedom describes the state of being liberated from restraints, not escaped from all of them. And every freedom comes with a price. It's virtually impossible to give freedom here and not take away freedom there, as the conservation of freedom is just as inescapable as the conservation of mass and energy. One example, by giving drivers more freedom to speed their vehicles in downtown, we're compromising some of our pedestrians' freedom of walk the street without been struck by an speeding vehicle.

In general, humans are compulsively obsessed with controlling everything, so we conjure liberty out of thin air; We have little interest in acknowledging our differences and live with it, instead we made up an excuse dubbed equality; We hate to be forced or took advantages of, worry not, that's what rights were invented for; We don't want to be told, yet we demand to be heard, so we came up with this fantastic idea named democracy. Having the ability to vote makes us feel special, important, and most irresistibly, it makes us feel that we are in charge.

thank god, finally back to the earth i know nothing about this ism, or that ism, so i guess i don't have much say on this matter. for me, the more power you acquire, the more things you want to control, the less freedom you'd like to enjoy

trying to control in whatever way in name of whatever ism is wrong in the first place, nature is great, human being  can't control it. We are part of it, follow our mother nature means follow our own nature, that's the only way we can live in peace and harmony
