My thoughts about a piece of news
This morning I read a piece of news which said the IMF chief was denied release on bail on charging of trying to rape a hotel maid from the webstie of USA Today. After lunch, I talked with my friend about this news. "It must be a truth that he attempted to rape the maid but in vain", said I. "Possibly", answered he, "you see once Miachel Jackeson was accused of pedophilia, but the fact was the boy's father having ulterior motives wanted to blackmail the the superstar". However, we can't exclude the possibility that IMF chief did attempt to assualt the maid sexually. Also it is possible that the maid made use of IMF chief to get some money or so. Whatever, we couldn't tell the truth. What I want to say is that we cann't look only at the surface of things, the truth will prevail finally.

- in this crazy world, anything is possible. never believe what you see before you give it a second thought. it is possible that the IMF chief attempted to assault the woman/girl, also possible that the woman actively flirted with and seduced this powerful person for the purpose of obtaining some benefit but she didn't get what she wished to; another possibility is that he was set up by his political oponents. nobody knows for sure for the time being. maybe it is just another game between big shots. however, if you can wait and are patient enough, the truth will be brought to light sooner or later.

- Wow~your comment is so great, that's just what I want to say. The world is too complicated. Someone attempts to grasp at money without his own efforts, someone do something which goes against his conscience in order to ruin other competitors. Money and power mean too much to someone who are blinded by greed. They are also the two main reasons to cause crimes. If we regard money and power not that important, our world will be better.

- The news about the IMF chief is making headlines around the world. Seems this time he is in real hot water. The woman whom he assaulted was an African American lady aged 21 and has a child. The lady was described as a quiet and hardworking person. The way this incident happened shows the lady was not after money because once the case is reported to police, there would be arrests and he can't get out of it so easily. Looks like the IMF chief would be found guilty and goes to jail for at least 2 years. However, as you said, nobody knows what will happen as the case progress. He might find someway to get out of this. Lets wait and see.
Hard to understand how a person of such status can do these things repeatedly. It is plain stupidity. How does a person of such character runs a world organization.

For such kind of politician, the sexual scandal will make him lose both fortune and honor if it proves to be true. Really difficult to understand why celebrity caused sensations with their misconducts. As public figures, they should set good examples. Over recent years, more and more stars are aressted for drug offenses. For example, the HK star, Sun Xing hit the headlines for the same reason. People going astray will finally suffer their consequences of their own doing. Such a pity.

He is just trying everything to get out of this. He is destined for a long judicial process and may get 20 years jail if he is found guilty. He better admit the truth and accept the consequences.

He is just tryingThank you so much for imforming me of the further information, but I have to read the news later because one of my friends asked me to help her translate another high-school classmate's graduation theis. The thesis is about thermodynamic description of two chemical elments. I haven't touched chemistry several years and what's worse I scarely know any chemical jargon, so the task is too much for me. Time is limited, I must focus on the translation of the thesis. I'll read the news once the translation is completed.

- couldn't agree more, i feel the same way about your point. for people, comparing with the one who looks nice but no beauty inside, i prefer the guy who looks evil outside, but has got a kind and warm heart. don't get me wrong, i am trying to say i enjoy being real and who you really are. for things, what you just said really happens all the time, don't let these kind of things bother you any longer, just keep real ourselves and everything will be all right. good luck girl~
