Dear Mr.Macintyre

     I am Grace from 10C and we have been learning about the environment in English class.I am very worried about our environment.Global warming has become the most talked-about environmental issue today.Goverments,corporations and individuals around the world are working on solutions.And I want to do something for our environment.Please consider my ideas for helping the ecosystem.

     After watching the movie"An Arctic Tale" ,I know that many animals have lost their homes,due to global warming.The Arctic's summer sea ice has shrunk by 20 percent in recent decades and the kingdom of ice will disappear in 2040. If we change te way we live,we will save many animals and people all over the world.If we remember to turn off all electronic devices when not in use or if we leave the room, we wil conserve energy,certainly we will prolong the life of animals in the Arctic and they will have a better future.If we use coldwater to wash our clothes during winter times,we will save 80% on energy.Could you imagine what would the world be like in the future is we muddle?I think the animals will be dea and even people will disappear.I saw this pargrph on the internet"Global warming is not only a threat to oursurvival,it alraedy contributes to more than 150,000 deaths and 5 million llness annually.According to a team of health and climate scientists at the WHO and the University of Wisconsin at Madison-ad thse numbers could be doubled by 2030."

     In "21th century", the essay "The Golden Age of Motoring is Over" tells us the good news.The main idea of this ssay if teenagers and young adults are purchasing fewer cars.In this phnomenon,it shows that,not only because they want to protect our environment,but also ecause te cars are too expensive for them.Anyway it is still a good news for us.In this wat, we can reduce our carbon emssion.I calculated my carbon emision a year,it's 0.2t.We have 6.9 billion people in the world.If everybody makeshe emission like this,the numbr of the emssion would be an astronomical number. If you want to reduce your carbon emission,please drive fewer cars. ride more bicyclesor take the bus.Using the lesser amount of paper can also save the environment,so teachers could give lesser homework,because our notebooks are made of papers.But I guess that would be impossible.I'm wondering when it wold come true.

     And using a lesser quantity of water can also help the environment.Cut the ime of you shoer.Government should purify dirty water or they can instal more water cellars to recycle rain waters,in that case we will have an ample amount of water t use.We should plant more tress to keep water and earth from running away.
