Who is to blame?

453 views. 2009-6-22 22:32 |

Yesterday I came across an article on the internet titled “the man who is of my father’s age raped me.”The heroine of the story was a girl from a peasant’s family. Her family, especially her father treated woman as inferior to men .So she grew up without much parental love. Then, She went to study in a city’s college. For being desperately short of money, she did a part-time job in a restaurant and met a married man whose age was 28 years older than her.He was tall ,handsome ,also very kind, giving her a sense of safety. They have a lot of common language. For helping her out, The man bought her cellphone and many basic needs, even helped her to rent an apartment, treating her so well, just his own daughter.  For the first time in her life, the girl found she was not alone and being cared. She had a mixed feelings of this man, both crush and appreciation. It was this man who was like her father made a difference in her life.  She thought it was unacceptable to love this man and have a closer relationship with him , though she was sure the man liked her. So it was before long when she found a boy friend on internet and moved to live together with that boy. After knowing what the girl had done, the man got very angry and phoned her every day but she refused to answere him. One day, when the girl was in her own apartment, the man broke in. He blamed her, held , kissed her forcefully and then raped her. From then on, they became real lovers. But under the pressures of the man’s wife and daughter, they relationships didn’t keep long.   At last, they could do nothing but part with each other. As far as I’m concerned , the man’s fault was forgivable. He just acted in an impulse, which is understandable, indicating he truly love this girl ,not wanting others to possess her but himself. After all, they liked each other, so the man’s behavior can’t be considered as a crime. However, I suppose It is the girl who led to the tragedy. (maybe her father is to blame.)She should have avoided all those things. If I were her, I wouldn’t accept the man’s fund at first, no matter how poor I was or how deep I like him. Being funded by a man, for a girl is dangerous. You don’t know in what way he want you to pay him back. You may sacrifice your body, your youth, suffered a lot of pain from it. For a girl ,Being independent is the priority.

yeah, there is a saying"there is no free lunch in the world",if you are determined to accept for easy life, you have to sacrifice lots of valuable things, the girl you mentioned above is really stupid to sacrifice her youth
