Recently I have been watching an American TV series called Lie To Me. It is about a group of people who can tell if others are lying through their emotional expression. It’s fantastic. People speak with an unconscious gesture with a specific meaning, for example, eyebrows up, jaw down means surprise. They use this to help others find the truth, usually the FBI.

However, it is also very disappointed to them with special skills. They know when their friends are lying to them, when they are hiding something. If they try to find out the truth every time, they will lose all of their friends eventually. Sometimes they have to make difficult decisions.

When we are little , our parents and teachers told us to be honest. As we grow up, we learn to lie. Sometimes we make up an excuse for being late, sometimes we tell patients white lies to make them feel better. A lot of people say that the most intolerant thing is lying. What do you think?
