I Do not Know How to Chat, OMG!
J.J and I just got an acquaintanceship by chatting online. And it was not easy to come into contact with a foreigner. First, there is the language problem. Then, comes the culture differences. The last but not the least important, the chatting skills. And perhaps, it should be mentioned whether you are good in person and easy to get along with. Some people are outgoing; with certain amount of vocabulary, they can be fishes in water with anyone—foreigners maybe, compatriot as well. Some are rather isolated, and their ability of socializing degenerate; though they might be masters of language learning. Yes, I am talking about Intercourse, verbally in particular. As it related to J’s privacy in part, I would only exemplify a short clip of what happened between us and of what forced me to write this diary.
We were talking about Ladygaga, the hottest pop female singer at present. However, we had different opinions. Mine was “not that favoured, even antagonistic at some level”, while his was “ok, and enjoyed her new released music video”. While we were reaching a heat debate merrily on this topic, I throw out a bomb that silence the chaos afterwards. I said she looks like a hooter at bar… after which there were not any of a response furthering the talk.
I do not count how servere it is, but it was absolutely disagreeable! I do not want to be that icy lady or evil-tongue wet blanket! This is communication, which mean to have backs and forths; if it broke down, that means you do not have common languages, or there are an air of tension between you; both of which are not approved for sure.
And human beings are social animals, with interaction as its basic sign, whatever the world will be and however the human society develop. I do not trace the importance back to history or its origin; just for now, it bother me to have a formal relationship or just a pleasant talk. So I take it seriously, and intend to perfect my defects on socializing; moreover, I am really not an extrovert buzzed girl.
The lesson just taught me to wait listening to other’s speaking and let them finish before bursting out my personal subjective viewpoints; and that do not say something radical especially when conversation goes to opinions towards something, even it sometimes means to have something reserved among close friends or people.
