Stone gambling II

Stone gambling has been popular from Qing dynasty in China till now, but u may not know where those stones come from.
It is said Zhou Enlai lined out 17 mountains to exchange for Xishuangbanna(西双版纳) with Burma(缅甸) in the early days of our country's foundation, and moreover, almost all those valuable stones come from those 17 mountains. It's really a pity when I heard the news, and I think u may also think Mr. Zhou did the wrong choice between Xishuangbanna and 17 Mountains.
On the controry, Mr. Zhou was really a forward-looking Chinese leader, coz he had already sent experts to do investigation before he made his choice for Xishuangbanna, where is rich in balata(橡胶) and balata is a most important material for building as u may know. Mr. zhou's choice facilitate our national modernization.
Comparing with the invaluable stone(Jade), u may still feel gretful. But one more thing, u may not know, Burmese do not know how to polish the stone to invaluable Jade bracelets(玉镯子), Jade relief(玉浮雕)， what they could provided is stones as a resource.
