The first chart reveals that the decade saw asharp increase in the production. In 1990 theEuropean country output approximately 0.8 millionsof tonnes. Till 2000 the figure peaked at about 2.4million, a three time jump.
According to the second chart, the wheat prices dramatically surged from less than 1500Pound Sterling per tonne in 1990 to almost 3000 in 1995. Nevertheless, in the following fiveyears, the changes in prices were featured by decrease. By 2000, the prices had dropped to2,200 pound sterling.
Obviously, the changes in the production were not the same as those in the prices duringthe ten years.

The profits produced by the Leeds factories were relatively stable in that only in the thirdquarter did the profits dropped by one million pound sterling to the bottom of £7million . Theother three quarters saw the same profits.
Noticeably, the number of employees in Leeds was 350, compared with 150 in London.
