Two Gooses
My Uncle from Vermont was mailing an order to his butcher in Boston． First he bagan the note,"Kindly send twogooses．" That didn't seem right, so he started over again with "Kindly send two geeses．" Still he wasn't satisfied． He settled this dilemma by writing finally,"Kindly send me a goose." Then he signed his name and added a P．S．"Send another one with it．"

我的叔叔从佛蒙特州给他在波士顿的屠夫邮寄了一份订单。原先他的便条是这样开头的：“请寄来一双鹅。”那样讲似乎不对，因此他重新写道：“请寄来一对鹅。”他还是不满意。最后他解决了这个难题，写道：“请寄来一只鹅。”然后签上 自已的姓名，加上“又及：同时再寄一只鹅。”
