One day when women's dresses were on sale at the Far East Department Store, a dignified middle-aged man decided to get his wife a piece. But he soon found himself being battered by frantic women.
He stood it as long as he could; then, with head lowered and arms flailing（用力挥动）, he plowed through the crowd.
"You there!" challenged a thrill voice. "Can't you act like a gentleman?"
"Listen," he said, "I have been acting like a gentleman for an hour. From now on, I am acting like a lady."
有天远东百货商场女装大减价，一位有身份的中年男子打算给太太来一件，可他很快发现自己被这帮疯了似的娘儿们给好一通蹂躏。
他先还尽量忍着，最后他一埋头，甩开膀子，拼命趟过人堆。
“你，那谁！”有个激烈的声音责问他，“你就不能表现得像个绅士吗？”
“听着，”他说，“我表现得像个绅士都一个钟头了，打现在起，我要表现得像个女士！”
