79.下在路上的雨
A small boy and his nature science teacher were having a walk in the country when it suddenly began to rain very hard. They did not have their umbrella with them，and there was nowhere to hide from the rain，so they were soon very wet，and the small boy did not feel happy.
一个男孩和他的自然科学老师正在乡间漫步，忽然下起了谤沱大雨。他们没有带伞，而此刻又无处避雨，因此很快就被淋得浑身湿透了。小男孩很不高兴。
For a long time while they were walking to school through the rain，the boy was thinking.Then at last he turned to the teacher and said to him，"Why does it rain，sir, it is not very nice，is it?”
当他们冒着雨往学校赶的时候，小男孩一直在思索着什么。最后，他转身问老师:“老师，为什么要下雨呢?下雨不怎么好玩，是不是啊?”
"No，it is not very nice，but it is very useful，Tom，"answered the teacher，"It rains to make the fruit and the vegetables grow for us，and to make the grass grow for the cows and sheep."
“是啊，下雨是不怎么好玩。汤姆，但是有很多好处，”老师回答道，“雨使得瓜果蔬菜长出来给我们吃，也使得青草长出来给牛羊吃。”
Tom thought about this for a few seconds,and then he said，"Then，why does it rain on the road too,sir?”
对于这个回答，汤姆又想了想，然后他说:“那么，老师，雨为什么也要下在路上呢?”
